Advanced Drainage Systems (WMS) saw early trading gains after announcing a $1 billion all-cash acquisition of Norma Group's water management unit, National Diversified Sales (NDS). The Ohio-based pipe manufacturer expects the deal to be immediately accretive to adjusted EPS, with projected cost savings reducing the net purchase price to $875 million after tax benefits.
NDS specializes in stormwater drainage and irrigation technologies, generating 90% of its $313 million revenue from the U.S. market. Advanced Drainage will fund the transaction through existing liquidity, reinforcing its position in water infrastructure solutions that address flooding prevention and landscape conservation.
